What's happening in June!
June 7 - 9th.
We bring 3 evenings and two days of festivities fun and food for thought! All these events are organised in partnership with Dawlish Town Council.
7th June, in the evening, Whose Wild World?, the world premiere of an active theatre production from Troubadour Theatre company with an environmentally themed promenade performance.
Kids go free!
June 7th, 6 - 8pm (doors open 5.30pm) in the Marquee on Dawlish Lawn.
Join us to meet the budding presenter of a new TV reality show. Being on location is not going quite as smoothly as our hapless star, Petunia Wilding and her long-suffering assistant, Violet would like and the rehearsal set seems to be attracting a variety of unexpected characters!
We'll be exploring all sorts of wild stuff and figuring out who will be the wildest of them all. See you there!

June 8th
It's World Oceans Day AND the start of Great Big Green Week! This year we are bringing a spectacular 18m whale to the lawn - plus the Mossy Carpet from the Art and Energy Collective, Circus Skills, an Exeter University Marine Biologist, Devon Wildlife Trust, the Environment Agency, Devon Waste Education, Teign Estuary Coastal Partnership, Rise and Rewild CIC, Dawlish Against Plastic, Sustainable Dawlish, Shores of S Devon, plus music from Cask, Sasha & Gaz, Back Beach Boyz, Celtic Dawn, and Melosa.
We also have the fantastic repair cafe in the Strand Centre from 10 - 1pm.
We will display chosen entries from 'The Joy of Wild Swimming' photography exhibition (free to submit entries!) and a whole lot more! We hope to attract a lot of people!
The Whale! 8th June 10.30 - 3.30pm
In the evening, we have a marquee-full of great sounds and dancing with headline act Piratitude supported by Jonah's Lift. Get your dancing shoes on for an energetic evening! Tickets £10 from local outlets, Presents, Puzzled Sweet Shop, Manor House and Eventbrite.
Vintage bike ride - Don your best vintage clothing, bikes can be modern!
June 9th - is a day of Dawlish Action - being active, whether acting on behalf of others, keeping active physically and/or mentally, being creative, running a business or a community group.
We have Circus Skills, Devon’s travelling Share Shed, vintage cycles and bike ride, fancy dress parade, music from Holly Ebony, Wrecked Again, Isambard Gasket Rats, Combustion, Celtic Dawn, and Drum Devon.
Just a few of the groups and businesses represented are: Hensford Cider Press, South East Devon Wildlife, Devon Loves Dogs, Devonshire Made Confectionary, Brickhouse Garden, Teignmouth Pavilions Wellness, Assist Teignbridge, Dawlish Chamber of Trade & Commerce, Dawlish Walking Womens Football Club, Freetrike Rehab Cycling, Dawlish Celebrates Carnival, DAYS youth centre, and Dawlish Coast Churches. We hope it will be a fun day for a lot of people, celebrating how being active and wellbeing are linked.
In the evening, we have the very popular Studio 54 band Another opportunity to dance your socks off. Tickets will be available £10 from local outlets, Presents, Puzzled Sweet Shop and Manor House, and Eventbrite.
All ticket sales go towards funding this and future events.
