Fancy Dress

New for 2023!

 

Before we welcome our headliners to the main stage, we will be hosting a Turn the Tide fancy dress parade with an eco-sea theme (think mythical sea creatures, sea folk, sustainable messages, & what people love about being by the sea). 

 

We would like to see natural items, clothes or other items that are past their sell-by date, to be used once more for a purpose that is both fun and relevant to our theme.

 

The parade will start on the Piazza at 4pm where participants will join in the celebrations. Fancy dress participants will parade through the festival site to the bandstand where our judges will select our winners on the day. 

 

We would like your costumes to be as eco-conscious as possible - remember, avoid single-use plastic, and reuse, repair, recycle, and repurpose. Afterwards, don't forget to dispose of your costume responsibly or better still, re-use it!

 

Children's fancy dress categories (subject to entries) are likely to be: Aged 5 years and under; Aged 6-8 years; Aged 9-13 years.
